Adam Windsor was once the pride of Dory Funk’s “Funkin Conservatory” training ground. The British wrestling star saw success on the NWA circuit in the United States during the early 2000s. Sadly, Windsor passed away at the age of 41. Windsor was suffering from heart problems at the time of his death.

Windsor’s friend and fellow wrestler John Nursall was heartbroken by the news. Adam had been living in Florida, where he was a former NWA Florida Champion. Seen as an excellent worker and an even better person, Nursall paid tribute to Windsor, per Slam Wrestling.

“So gutted to here yet another great guy has passed away that I had the pleasure of working with on Wrestle Aid ChampionShip in 2014 after losing Tony Banger Walsh recently to learn that Adam Windsor passed away this morning in Florida is so sad and are thought go out to his family and friends. Had the pleasure put him in a match his 1st home town match with Muscles Mansfield vs Old school Bob Barratt and Keith Myatt and what a great show they put on.”

Born in Coventry, England on January 17, 1981, Windsor (real name Adam Bryniarski) was a pro wrestling fan from his earliest days. By the time he was eight, he knew it was all he ever wanted to do. Windsor was fortunate enough to have achieved that dream during his life.

After a knee injury ended his judo career at age 15, Bryniarski began looking for a place to train as a wrestler. He married “Gentleman” Chris Adams’ oldest daughter, Jade. Jade’s mother was Lady Blossom, the former wife of “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. Windsor had a handful of tryouts and dark matches with WWE, but never stuck around.

Adam Windsor abruptly ended his career sometime around 2014, when he simply stopped taking bookings. Many fans thought he would be the next big thing, but Windsor went out on his terms. Our condolences go out to his family, friends, fans, and loved ones around the world.
