Bella Thorne and other celebrity victims will be able to breathe a huge sigh of release soon. It was revealed that the former Disney Channel star is getting closer to find the hacker responsible for obtaining her intimate photos and threatening to release them.
Drama aside, Bella has been trying to get back to her regular life after the scandal. She shared an update with fans about the status of her investigation.
The 21-year-old posted a message to her Instagram Story that read: ‘Getting closer to finding this guy.’
She also shared screenshots that indicate exactly what kind of criminal she was dealing with.
Text messages from the screenshot read: ‘Rest assure my friend we are working on solving this to get you piece of mind! Respecting your wishes to not solicit criminal charges; we’ve had to solicit expert assistance with making 100% sure we have I’d (sic) the correct person responsible for these insensitive invasion of your privacy. The person is way more sophisticated than we thought not your run of the mill hacker!’
This comes after Thorne suffered the highest level of invasion of privacy and made the decision to release her own nude photos in an effort to take the power back.
The move was applauded by most who feel that no one has the right to hang your personal images above your head while others, like The View’s Whoopi Goldberg, had a differing opinion.
The talk show host placed the blame on Bella with the claim that this wouldn’t be a problem had she not taken the pictures in the first place.
Bella hit back with a series of Instagram posts which read, in part: ‘So what, a girl can’t send her boyfriend that she misses photos of her that are sexy? Things he’s already seen? I, as a woman, should be so scared walking around my home, being on my phone, doing anything? Is that what u want our women to be like? Scared of the masses for their sexuality?? Is that what u want? I don’t.’
