Residents on West 130th near Cooley and North claim drivers who speed more than double the 35-mph speed limit make it dangerous for residents, visitors, and walkers.

Luke Eusebgio, who lives on West 130th between North Road and Interstate 71, says vehicles cut down the street to get to the interstate, endangering everyone in their path.

“My car was legally parked on the street in front of my house during my brief stay. A speeding driver rear-ended and totaled it overnight. Legally parked on the other side of the street, my housemate’s car was rear-ended and totaled. It’s a residential neighborhood with lots of homes, so you don’t want 50 or 60 mph traffic, said Eusebgio.

According to neighbor Latasha Harris, several things could assist. “I mean lowering the speed limit possibly.”

Other neighbors requested a stop sign at W. 130th and North. Cleveland police said the fatal collision is under investigation and no charges have been made.
