However, what really captured the headlines is the purported name of their child, X Æ A-12. Thus far, social media has been shocked by the name of the baby, mostly because of its bizarre nature and undoubtedly strange pronunciation.
Hot New Hip Hop claims, however, that it’s not even legal for them to name their child with such a title. People on Instagram and Twitter have speculated that it’s pronounced, “Ash Archangel,” following Grime’s claim that she and Elon were influenced by a beloved aircraft model.
A supervisor at the Department of Public Health Vital Records Office in Los Angeles, where the child was supposedly born, claimed it was against the law to have numbers or symbols in a child’s name.
California law claims that only the 26 letters of the English alphabet can be used to name a baby, likely to avoid confusion in the system. Thus far, neither party, Elon nor Grimes, have commented on the supposed illicit nature of the name.

Other social media users have speculated that they’re just joking and are doing it for the publicity, potentially even poking fun at the press for even picking up on the absurd name, to begin with.
Before he dated Grimes, Elon was also in a relationship with Amber Heard, the former wife of Johnny Depp. It’s not clear why they broke up. Grimes, on the other hand, has been busy in her career, with the release of a brand new record earlier this year.
