The talented actor has been doing this for a long time and it seems like it never gets old to him! Johnny Depp may or may not return to the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise but that did not stop him from putting on the Jack Sparrow costume and making some more kids very happy.
Depp made a virtual visit to Brisbane’s Queensland Children’s Hospital in Australia, this time around, due to the self-isolation orders, and chatted with the young ones, answering their questions as Captain Jack Sparrow and bringing a smile to their faces.
Even though he got in character from home due to the pandemic, Johnny still transformed completely, getting in character a hundred percent.
The actor has actually been at that hospital as Jack before, back in 2015 when he was shooting the fifth installment of the franchise, Dead Men Tell No Tales, there.
‘It’s been a couple of years since I’ve been there and I miss it and I wanted to say hello,’ he told everyone there during this second, virtual visit.
Depp chatted with three patients that had been picked beforehand, named Asha, Gabby and Thomas.
They all played games, laughed together and answered questions all the while Johnny never broke character once!
Even the décor was perfectly fitting as he was sitting in an antique chair, the background looking like a pirate ship.
‘These 3 beautiful young people I have spoken with this evening and having heard from people who’d sent videos in…is one of the finest experiences that I have ever experienced and that’s because of all your commitment to this project and taking care of one another and helping out when times are curious and confusing,’ he raved about the three lucky kids who got to hang out with him.

He went on to say that: ‘I am with all of you and send you all my love, and my irreverence and my ignorance because it is fun to be ignorant and irreverent sometimes. And you do deserve to be if you feel that. I am with you always. I love you. Thank you for sticking with me through these very strange years. You guys work — all the nurses, the healthcare workers, the doctors — you work like absolute heroes.’
