- A TV reporter for Sun Sports Rays, Kelly Nash shot a breath-taking self-portrait at Boston’s Fenway Park on Saturday.
Nash was snapping some photographs of herself while passing time before the Red Sox took on the Astros, she explained to Fox Sports Florida.
“My whole family is from Massachusetts, and I knew they would be so excited to see me working at Fenway Park, and when I went to text them the picture I noticed the baseball by my head!”
The reporter further adds about the fair warning while she snapped away. She said,
“Producer Art Dryce had called out ‘heads up!’ a few times while I was taking pictures around the left field section, but none of those balls actually fell close to me, so I took my chances turning my back on batting practice for a picture,”
Whether it was her good luck that saved Nash from a potential injury, she is laughing about it now.
“I laughed pretty hard when I saw such a surreal picture that I had no idea I took. I thought you have got to be kidding me, maybe there are really angels in the outfield. And actually brought the movie with me on the trip and had it in my bag at the game.”

And in it, she captured a batting practice home run almost crushing her head:
Kelly Nash had a lucky escape as nothing happened to her. She was warned of stray balls by her producer as she stood in the left-field section of the ground. But only noticed the near miss when she tried to text the picture to others.
