THE low-key Wang family have listed Altona, their prized Point Piper harbourfront home.
But it won’t be setting any price records given its listing follows the sale earlier this week of their adjacent garden block for $18 million.
The iconic Victorian Italianate home, just doors away from the Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull’s home on Wunulla Road property, last traded at $52 million in 2013.
Altona was last sold by Deke Miskin, a former teenage magazine publishing industry entrepreneur, and his wife Eve to the Chinese property developer Wang Zhijun.
The vacant 1000 square metre garden site was added to Australia’s most famous trophy home by publisher Matt Handbury and his then wife, former model Fiona in the mid 1990s.

The Handburys sold their larger holding after an extensive renovation to publisher Deke Miskin and his wife, another former model Eve in 2002 for $28 million.
It was estimated the vacant block could fetch anywhere between $19 million and $27 million.
Rosaline Ho of Goldfield & Co has been appointed to sell the site, with Alison Coopes.
