As you know, Tamra Judge is now no longer part of the Real Housewives of Orange County cast but she nearly left even earlier, last season! During the season 14 reunion episode, the reality TV celeb opened up about the heartbreaking news she’s gotten as well.
It was so devastating that she was in tears just before the episode started being filmed.
Tamra was on RHOC for no less than 12 years but she had to sadly say goodbye to fans.
At first she admitted that she was sad and disappointed she was not asked back, during a live Instagram session with Bravo boss Andy Cohen.
However, she then revealed an even more heartbreaking crisis in her life – her former husband Simon Barney has been diagnosed with stage three throat cancer.
She and Simon may not be together anymore but he is still the father of their three children.
About the way she was told she would no longer be part of the show, Tamra confessed that ‘I think that it could have been handled a little bit differently. I was going to say I wasn’t coming back at the reunion. I had just found out about Simon days before the reunion. I was a mess. I was crying in my dressing room. I was like, ‘I can’t go out there.’ Everyone’s like ‘what’s wrong?’ and I’m like ‘I just can’t do this.’
‘I was going to tell everybody then that…it’s going to be too hard for me to go back. With Simon going through treatment and the kids and how are they going to deal with it. At this time he just found out and hadn’t started treatment and I didn’t know what to expect. And so (husband) Eddie‘s like, ‘just go do it,’ she went on to dish.
She got candid about Simon’s diagnosis and admitted that they had a horrible divorce which brings the worst in everyone but she was incredibly saddened by the news.
Apparently, the man met her at a Starbucks and told her about it.
Tamra recalled he was calm but tears were rolling down his face when he said: ‘It’s my time. It’s my time. I’m okay.’

Currently, Simon is undergoing chemotherapy but Tamra was on the verge of shedding tears as well when she stressed that his condition is ‘very serious.’
